[personal profile] selenak :

1.)

Gene and Alex from Ashes to Ashes, a show I never expected to love as much as I did in the end. During S3, its final season, AtA brought some of the most gripping, most chilling TV I've seen in a while.

2.)

Oh dear, Julian... You had a quite a lot learn when you first boarded DS9, didn't you? I think what I like best about the way his character was being developed throughout the various seasons is that the writers always managed to keep Julian's initial openness and sense of wonder intact.

3.)

Nip/Tuck "Guilty Pleasure" icon, Christmas edition. If there were such as thing as a clear, visible boundary defining how drastic, bizarre, far-fetched and over-the-top a TV show can possibly get without being worthy of immediate cancellation, I must say that Nip/Tuck would have overstepped this line more often than not. And yet: the dynamic between the show's main characters, plastic surgeons Christian Troy and Sean McNamara, and their respective satellites is one of the best character dynamics ever.

4.)

Nip/Tuck, again. Sean's wife Julia (played by the amazing Joely Richardson) offering support to Sean's partner and friend Christian. A triangle with many facets. Like the text says, not your average dysfunctional family.

5.)

Quark, bar owner extraordinaire and DS9's unsung hero :-)
