Like I said, AtA makes for a very interesting and worthwile re-watch experience, especially seasons 1 and 3, last but not least because during those seasons a lot of stuff falls into place mythological- and characterwise, from a Wastsonian rather than Doylist perspective.

Just one example: Do you remember how much criticism AtA got at the beginning because Alex's season 1 visions and surreal experiences seemed so close to Sam Tyler's in LoM? Having watched AtA to its very end, it's rather logical to explain those early similiarities between Alex's and Sam's experiences with the simple fact that, during season 1, Alex (just like Sam) was still much closer to the land of the living than to the land of the dead. Watching how Alex visions decrease/change over time now feels like watching her gradual slide towards death.
