First of all: aw, thank you, I'm glad the story holds up. I do see it as a key step in my writing.

Secondly, zomg, it's true, we are now in Kat Allison's future. I'm feeling a bit out of time myself now.

re: the disappearance of old archives, I remember a bit of a panic when I couldn't find Seventh Dimension again, which was before I had uploaded my HL stories to the AO3, but then someone pointed me towards a then replacement location for Seventh Dimension (gone now, too), and I hastily copied and uploaded. As for ye olde stories I used to read, I had them printed out back then, and I still have my favourites on files.

"Down to the Bone" was and is so superb. My overall favourite of Parda's is probably "Changed Utterly", but this comes close.
