Some of these things are larger aspects, others just details...
1. Timothy Dalton's Rassilon. Given the role that Rassilon played in Gallifreyan history and culture, having him portrayed by an actor capable of pulling off such a larger-than-life figure, seems only fitting.
2. The two Vinvocci undercover scientists. Green, spiky and cute ;-)
3. Finally warming up to John Simm's Master. When "Utopia"/"Sound of Drums" aired a few years ago, I found this particular incarnation of the Master so farcical and over the top that I was actually fearing the worst, only to be surprised by how well-written, fitting and nuanced the scenes between him and Ten were this time around.
4. Ten paying his goodbyes to the people important to him before finally giving in to regeneration. I don't really know how to explain this, but for me this seemed such a typical thing for him to do. Methinks, few incarnations have needed human companionship and support as much as Ten did.
5. Ten being sung to his rest by a chorus of Oods. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
6. The short glimpse we got of Eleven after the regeneration regeneration.
