Greetings from a typically German Christmas Fair to everybody out there who's reading!

This picture postcard photo of Cavendish and me was taken a couple of days ago, by an automaton, at the Duisburg Christmas Fair. After such a long period of not really posting anything of substance I thought it would be nice to kick-start this whole journaling thing with something visual. :-)

Weihnachtsmarkt! I only managed our tiny town one this year and have a feeling that's all there'll be time for.

How was yours? What did you eat/drink?

Medium-sized and comfy. Also much prettier and atmospheric than you would expect from a town like Duisburg, thanks to the wonderful lights and decorations. Cavendish and have been visiting it for years. My personal favourite is the silver and crystal LED tree put up on the wide open grass space in front of the town theatre.

As for food and drink: Well, the usual I guess. Some roasted chestnuts here, a hot chocolate there. And absolute must at the Duisburg fair are the Pinchos, at least if you enjoy meat, ideally the Pinchos are accompanied by a glass of Sol y Sombra (brandy and anis)
