I only spotted this vid by accident via Youtube recommendations, and when I first saw it I almost couldn't believe how amazingly poignant it is for *all* of the featured major characters, male and female.

One of the things I particularly love is the fade-out, with that closeup of Max laying her eyes on the Urca treasure and the lyrics going "and in this twilight our choices seal our fate."

I wouldn't say all - my only nitpick is that the ladies felt a bit short-changed: that final clip with Max is the only one with her in it, which doesn't correspond to her importance of the show, and of Miranda we only see the moments before her death and then her corpse. (If I didn't know the show, I'd conclude this woman was only there to cause Flint angst via her death, which isn't true.) There is nothing indicating the Max/Eleanor or Max/Anne relationships, or even the tense Max & Jack one, all of whom are arguably more important, or at least given far more narrative space in the show than, say, Billy, who is by contrast quite present in the vid.

...but you know, with a huge ensemble like this, there is only so much you can do, and if you want to make character points, you have to make choices. I really loved the result of the choices the vid maker made, and my nitpick doesn't deny that.

I see what you mean and would also agree regarding the relative under- and overrepresentation. (The vid also contains a number of Vane shots I could easily have done without ;-))

However, I must say that compared to a good 95% of OuaT stuff I've stumbled across, any video that highlights a show's ensemble cast instead of just the respective vidder's chosen ship, feels like a revelation ;-)
